Windy, Wooly, Wet, and Wild

4/20/2016

Today started off windy and warm and things went south from there. Blowing snow and just below freezing temps equates to snow hitting you and melting instantly. Despite that we knocked out six lakes and a tundra snow survey while at the same time keeping our camp in tact. Ice thicker here and several taliks appear very deep. Tomorrow we might head toward Fish Creek if we're able to see the monster drifts in front of us. Being able to observe such conditions seems most likely if you're out experiencing it first hand!
