- A Day to Chill
4/4/2017
Today we woke up to intense sun but also ever increasing wind. Seeing the Borough cabin along the East shore became difficult. This was relevant because we were expecting Bob from 70N to fly in with two new companions and bring Melanie and Allen back to Deadhorse to head home. Long story short, ground blizzard heightened and they didn’t get in. Thus with the wind and waiting, we took the day to recharge our bodies along with batteries.
After riding bumps yesterday, having some time to catch up on data entry and analysis was relaxing.
Plus watching the winter tundra evolve over the day from a warm cabin is kind of necessary over a long trip like this.
